Grammy Awards Show

It’s official, Lil’ Wayne has chosen Drop The World as his next single from the Rebirth LP. I hope this is the best video that has come from the slew of videos YM has done recently. Lil Wayne reports to prison March 3rd.

“You got two guys who are basically huge supernovas coming together, and the way that the song is constructed is great,” he continued. “Because unless you see it coming, you don’t know Eminem is on the track. The first two hooks and the first two verses are all Wayne, and it’s kind of a surprise when Eminem comes through, and we matched it visually how Eminem enters the piece. From the concept and to just hearing the lyrics, with both of these amazing lyricists killing it, the whole video is just energy.”

[Touring] Jay-Z & Eminem To Perform @ Cowboy Stadium? February 17, 2010

Jerry Jones, owner of the Cowboys Stadium has showed interest in setting up Jay-Z and Em to perform in front of a Dallas filled stadium.

Jones said he got the feeling Em was interested in rocking Cowboys Stadium. “I believe he was thinking of how it would sound in there for him to be involved [for a concert],” Jones said of Eminem’s tour of the venue.

Jones also said we might eventually see a huge rap show at the stadium, which could hold well over 100,000 fans for a concert, and he thinks Em and/or Jay-Z would be perfect to pack the venue. “Those are the kinds of stars or the kinds of individuals that people are so interested in seeing,” he said. “We’ve got a venue there that can show them and their skills and talent. We could put a crowd in there to watch them.”

Final numbers show that Em has sold more than 32.2 million albums in the 2000s, edging out the Beatles to claim the title of top-selling artist. Nielsen Soundscan created the decade lists using data collected from January 1, 2000-November 1, 2009, and though figures might rise through December 31, they won’t alter the rankings.

The top-selling albums of the decade, according to Nielsen SoundScan:

*1. The Beatles, 1,11,499,000 units sold
2. ‘NSYNC, No Strings Attached, 11,112,000 units sold
3. Norah Jones, Come Away With Me, 10, 546,000 units sold
4. Eminem, The Marshall Mathers LP, 10,204,000 units sold
5. Eminem, The Eminem Show, 9,799,000 units sold
6. Usher, Confessions, 9,712,000 units sold
7. Linkin Park, Hybrid Theory, 9,663,000 units sold
8. Creed, Human Clay, 9,491,000 units sold
9. Britney Spears, Oops! … I Did It Again, 9,185,000 units sold
10. Nelly, Country Grammar, 8,461,000 units sold

*The Beatles’ album was entitled 1. They didn’t sell a billion records.
